2014 Chinese winter camp
The 2014 Chinese winter camp is sponsored by Hanban in partnership with the Confucius Institute at University of South Carolina (CI at USC) and Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU). As an important part of the Chinese Language and Culture initiatives, the program is targeted to American students in the United States to learn more about Chinese language and culture and become more engaged in the Chinese language programs in their schools or districts. During their visit to China, the delegates will attend a two-week basic Chinese course hosted by BLCU. Besides learning basic Chinese, they will also have the opportunity to experience Chinese culture, like painting Peking Opera masks, learning paper cutting, and visit famous landmarks, such as the Great Wall and the Forbidden City.
